Do you have any questions about Warhammer Online beta? Post the questions here and I’ll be sure to answer them once the NDA drops! Feel free to ask about anything, but know that so far my main area of expertise (if you can even call it that) is greenskins. Shocking given the title of this blog, I know!
Even if your question is non-greenskin related, toss it up and I’ll research the answer for you (or maybe it will get answered by someone in the comments). Please don’t attempt to answer someone else’s beta questions until the NDA drops, unless the answer is already public knowledge.

Here are the questions so far!
- How many spaces can you put in a guild name?
- How many people are required to start a guild?
- Are there any startup costs for creating a guild?
- What are your computer specs (new and old)?
- How did the Engineer class look and what was your opinion of how they performed?
- Did the White Lion class have names for their pets other than “War Lion?” In other words, can you name your war lion whatever you want?
- Can you just name a few of the cool things you’ve seen/done? Whether it be something with the tome, something you found? Things that are unique.
- Can you tell us about Shaman casting times and how well the “two god” mechanic works?
- Is RvR fast paced or does it seem slow (reference-I think WoW has a fast paced PvP casting/dps-heal= death and rez a lot)?
- What do you think of Black Orcs? Are they too linear or boring?
- What were your impressions of the classes that got nixed?
- How do larger RvR battles feel — mostly stand-offs, or a good mix? Are melee classes pretty much left out? Same for sieges — what do melee classes do during these periods — just man the siege weapons until the gates are down?
- What is your favorite “battleground,” (scenario) and why?
- What are your impressions of the dungeons you were able to see? Did the “intelligent” loot system seem to work? How were the difficulties of different instances?
- Leveling time — I’ve seen references to leveling being “quick” because they want people to enjoy the end-game, but also that they want people to enjoy the “journey.” Can you give us more concrete numbers — about how long does it actually take to level? Do you feel bogged down at any point in the leveling process? How quick is leveling through PvP/RvR?
- How quick do realm ranks accumulate — similar to DAoC, faster, slower?
- Did you have a chance to use the built-in guild management tools? If so — whaddya think
- How long until the Waaagh! completely takes over, covering the land in its green tide?
- Are you able to resurrect in combat, other than the morale abilities we’ve seen?
- What has dampened your enthusiasm for the game?
- How is the character customization so far?
- What class do you feel is the most complete/incomplete?
- What do you think of the chicken mechanic?
- How does the dwarven beer copter look?
- What are your thoughts on the Collector’s Edition special items like Rittenbach’s Portable Camp?
- Did you play the Choppa before it was removed? What were your thoughts?
- How are the opportunities for character uniqueness in WAR? Are the faces/hair/etc enough to make players distinguishable from each other, and is there enough variety in armor sets and dyes to make sure that we don’t all look like clones?
- How’s the “soul” of the game? Does the world feel like it’s real, living and breathing? When you take a quest, does it feel contrived or do you feel a genuine urgency to go get it done? How are the quest story arcs?
- How will the game be instanced? More wow like or more AoC like? When will there be load screens?
- Do guilds gain experience (GXP) when a level 40 player kills a mob? Or in other words, do players still get XP credit even though they are level capped?
- In WoW, some military friends of mine got to level 70 and were raiding Kara. They got deployed and came back to find their guild going after Illidan, with no time to help them get geared up to help. So how does delayed gaming fit in WAR?
- Will tanks have a viable role in PvP or be pigeon holed to PvE?
- Does collision make a difference in PvP?
- Is there stealth in the game?
- Do PvE quests link well or do I have to go hunting for the next area to level in?
- Can Bright wizards really blow themselves up?
- Are you having fun in beta?

So many questions! I’ll restrain myself to two of them.
1. How did the Engineer class look and what was your opinion of how they performed?

Public knowledge that it is a full group (6 people) to start a guild. Probably be at an NPC and have some cost but just guesses there.

I’d like to know about delayed gaming and how it fits with WAR?
the meaning of this basically comes from some military friends. In WoW, they got to 70 and were raiding into Kara. They get deployed and come back to find their guild going after Illidan and no time to help them get geared to raid with them now. So how does delayed gaming fit in WAR?

How does the Bags/inventory work?
Is it a number of bag slots, with a starting bag like some other MMO’s. In which case how large is the first bag, and how many bag slots do you have, how easy is it to gain extra bags, and do they tend to fill quickly?
If it is a bag system, can we replace that first bag when we get round to having larger ones? (I bloody hope so, so annoying when you can’t. I’m looking at you WoW!)
If it is more like an Inventory, how many slots do we have?

According to this article on games radar dungeons are going to be open world. Does this mean not instanced? How do they handle boss mobs and quest mobs inside? Please tell me that I won’t have to stand around for hours and hours mashing buttons every so often just to watch some other group kill a mob I want.
