Friday quickies!
June 27, 2008 – 11:10 amI don’t do these quick summaries all too often but I wanted to let you know what’s been going on without getting overly wordy and writing separate posts for each one!
- The June newsletter is out so check your inbox and the usual suspsects within the WAR community who usually leak it in advance.
- I’m saving my thoughts for ChaosCast episode #3, so you won’t find an in-depth analysis on TheGreenskin this time around.
- OK - I lied. This is the absolute coolest thing I’ve seen regarding WAR.
- I finally updated my Explore the Community link list in the sidebar. There are lots of new entries so check ‘em out! Oh, and if you aren’t there, please drop me a note. Sorry it took so long!
- Episode #4 of Warhammer Geek’s Podcast of Reckoning will showcase both Beibhinn of IGN and Josh Drescher of EA Mythic - it’s gonna rock!
- We have a very special treat of our own for you in CC#3, but I don’t want to spoil the surprise! It should be out early next week. Feel free to speculate in comments though!
- Part two of Romanus’ Grimgor Modelling Guide should arrive later this weekend - I personally can’t wait to see it!
- I am going fishing from tonight until Sunday morning, so wish me luck. The weather network forecasts rain…
- Next week is going to be crazy for me IRL, so I might not post very much. I have 1 game of hockey (siv), 6+ games of beer league softball (tournament), Canada Day (salute), and UFC 86: Jackson vs. Griffin (drool)!
I’ve also been thinking a lot lately of how I can improve the 2008 Greeny Awards from last year. Feel free to drop some suggestions. I think the amount of nominees and votes are going to be absolutely savage compared to last year so I’m extremely excited but slightly afraid of what it might do to my server.

Our Fearless Leader is quite disappointed in your lack of updates to The Greenskin comic. Now our leader may be fearless, but he is actually quite sensitive. Please don’t make him a sad panda, and update your strip.

Why have you not made a new comic strip? It has been almost two months since we have chuckled profusely at one of your drawings! We, the members of Chrono Chaos, demand a new and hilarious comic! Is it because you have run out of ideas? Well, here in the future, where things are much funnier, we have plenty! Here is one:

It would be really cool to travel back in time seventeen months from now to see a new comic posted in the next week. It would also be cool to travel back seventeen months from now to seventeen months before now, knowing that there will be another comic posted in the next week seventeen months from then, but it will also kind of suck that I’ll have already read the comic because we came from the future where the comic which will be posted in the next week will have already been posted seventeen months ago and will therefore be old news.
Regardless, Snaf, you HAVE to post a comic in the next week or you’re going to break the space-time continuum, of which I’ve outlined above from the future’s past (I.E. the present).

Artean here. I come from the future. There our time travel machine works. We just always forget to bring enough fuel for our past selves to use. So we have to kill our past selves to keep them from noticing. That being said….since were stuck in the past….can you provide us new comics to peruse. If I remember correctly….the next one you make is awesome.
