2007 Greenys: Week One Tally
January 20, 2008 – 7:24 pmIf you’re interested, I posted the current scores after week one of The 2007 Greeny Awards.
Over 500 nominations and votes have been counted so far, which went way beyond my original expectations. Several people have tried spamming a few extra votes for their favorite sites, which was expected, and my numbers have been adjusted accordingly. I’m not going to say who, so don’t ask. 
No need to go embarrassing people here…
Europe has made a big statement with popular sites in Germany, France, and Italy. I didn’t think these awards would become such an international success, but there you go. Hardcore fans in all these countries really bodes well for EA Mythic’s success abroad. I’m becoming aware of many awesome sites that were outside of my original circle of reading. That’s pretty sweet.
Keep the votes coming, but remember not to vote twice in the same category. I have been recording IPs and email addresses in an offline database with associated votes, so you will get busted. The DB will be deleted once the awards are over. I want to run this contest as cleanly and as fairly as possible.
