Does anyone know a ballpark number of people they intend to use for the December and onward Betas? 1000? 5000? 500?

No clue. I would guess that they take their original numbers + the gamesday and giveaways + a few more and use them for the focus tests they’re conducting. From there I would guess they allow a few more thousand closer to release. Then the big open beta + stress test.
