WAR beta videos and first impressions

WAR Tube - Warhammer Videos from the GreenskinThis one’s a bit old, but it’s definitely good if you haven’t seen it before! And no, I’m not breaking the NDA! :P

My friend, 8Toes (aka, the guy who runs MMO Guildsites - full disclosure), lives in Toronto and was fortunate enough to attend the Games Workshop Games Day in early May of this year. He happened to have a camera phone with him and captured a bunch of live beta footage, including some Greenskin scenario PvP (Gates of Ekrund and Murderball).

Follow the link to hear his first impressions and see the beta videos.

I would have totally gone with him but I was in training the week before and couldn’t justify the cost of a flight (we live 16 hours drive apart). Silly me because he and his girlfriend ended up winning beta invites through a contest! Jerks! ;)

  2. Do you happen to know if he also attended GenCon like I did? I may have met him and what is amazing is how good these games look at these events, and knowing the game is going to look much better when it launches.

  3. I’m pretty sure he didn’t go to Gen Con. He’s so busy with work that he barely has any time for gaming these days and only went out to Games Day because he would be able to play a demo of WAR. He’s a bit WAR freaky! :)

  4. Not sure if you’re interested in having a large collection of WAR videos or not but a user named “1337mojo” from WarhammerAlliance made a thread containing a huge number of those released you can find here:

  5. The F12 flying Magus was great, being able to look around in general moving really fast, pretty good videos considering it’s all taken with camera phone.

Reminds me of the time I used to spend looking at WoW instances with modelviewer before they were officially launched.
